  10. 1/4 cup butter
  11. 1 cup light brown sugar
  12. 1 egg
  13. 3/4 cup flour
  14. 1 tsp. baking powder
  15. 1/2 tsp. salt
  16. 1 tsp. vanilla
  17. 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  18.  
  19. Melt butter, stir in sugar and cool.  Add egg and beat.  Add remaining 
  20. ingredients.

  22. Spread in greased 8-inch square pan.  Bake at 350 deg. F. for 30 minutes.
